I have an exhaust leak coming from the passenger
side header.so i want to replace both header
gaskets on both sides with new header bolts.

i'd take a shot on doing the job
but i don't have many tools at this time.

if someone is willing to help me out
on doing the job for some $$$
let me know asap.

i know its not really job
but with my lag of tools and experiance
can only lead to more issues.

thanks

I would suggest getting some remflex gaskets. They wont blow out on you.

I never had luck with coppers plus they are pricey. I was blowing out gaskets each time I went to the dragstip until I put the remflex gaskets on. They are like $25 a set. Google search and check out their website. Carquest sells them.

I would also try changing them yourself. You just have to loosen the collector at the bottom of the header and then take the bolts off the header going into the head. Usually a 3/8 wrench will work on those bolts. Probably a one day project if its your first time. Just have a cold six pack in the fridge ready in case of emergency frustrations. [Big Grin]

Also I put the bead towards the header flange.

I use this on turbo cars as well and no leaks thus far.
