Which one do u guys think is better kinda on a budget leaning more towards 331 since block is already bored .30 ... What kit do u guys recommend to make som good numbers. To support the kit I have edelbrock performer heads 1.6rr gt40 uppr/lower 75mm throtle body 70mm mas air. Also what kinda numbers will I be looking at. What compression would be best also??? if your running a stock block and staying n/a then i say get a 347 high compression...if you plan to add a power adder i say just leave it 302 add heads/intake and your done...just my opinion

347 is also .30 over ...go 347 but if I was you ill get a better intake..and build a high comp. Motor 10to1 or somehtng around there..

Yea I was thinkin 10.2-1 compression

I'd suggest against 10:1.

Go 9-9.5 and you can use the cheaper gas, plus you can safely add a blower or turbo in the future.

On the intake arguement, a GT40 will work fine, but realize that it's also the cork on the motor. I have a GT40 on my 347 and it gives alot of low end grunt, for me it's fine..... But eventually I will be freeing up the motor so the intake will have to go.

347 is the same price .

Why wouldn't you go 347 ?

347 if you plan to stay NA or 331 if you plan to add a blower

Definitely go 347. Consider buying somebody's already built motor - you may not know for sure what you're getting, but it will cost you a fraction of building your own. You'll have plenty of money left over if it doesn't work out.

Yea. That's what I was thinkin 10.1-1 since I'm keepin it all motor

The intake/heads you have are both too small for either a 331 or 347, so if you're set on building one or the other, why not do a 347 and change out the parts for proper pieces as money allows.

302 parts make 302 power

Old Skool opinion...
With the kits being specifically built now-a-days, most of the bugs have been worked out. Checkout SBFTech there are a ton of threads there about the myths n facts of 347s and larger strokers.

Also if I may suggest if your looking for a stroker talk to Jim Woods aka "woody" of fordstrokers.com
He stands by his work and goes out of his way to help out the enthusiast. Try getting that kind of service from other companies.
