whats are the differences between these two motors.
i know that the boss is four bolt main!

There was no Boss 351W block. You could get a Boss 302 block that was windsor based, or the Boss 351 block which was the Cleveland series of motors, but no Boss 351W block.

Exactly. They only made the Boss 351 in '71 but the later 351 HO's (up to '73 I think) were basically the same motor.

how about the block there selling on ford racing site boss 351 whats the differnce will all my parts of my 74 block fit this one? all aftermarket parts on 74'

Because a real Boss 351 is a Cleveland block which they don't make anymore. Those new blocks that Ford is making, they just used the Boss name. In your original post, you didn't mention you were looking at the new Boss block.

No, a Boss 302 was a windsor block with cleveland heads. The 70's Boss 351 was all Cleveland.

Yeah, I believe it's a 4-bolt main. I don't think any 70's 351w's were 4-bolts. Worth the cash if you got it.

no boss 351, except cleveland. and 302 boss for like 2 years.only.no windsor came 4 bolt that i know of that was a factory block

you could get one of those ealy 351 windsors and have it made for 4 bolt caps.
