Is it possible for the distributor to malfunction, I have replaced the TFI unit, the coil, the plugs, and the spark plug wires. The car is an 89 GT. It runs like it has a dead cylinder. It intermittantly will run great and cut back to running like crap. I just replaced the coil with a MSD one because the plugs when tested outside the car would spark except for #5 which would intermittantly spark and all the plugs had a weak spark.

Any input would be appriciated,
Thanks

Have you done a compression and leak down test on the cylinders?

Are you sure it's spark related? Any type of MSD box on there?
