i have a 92 lx drop top that i jus purchased and was changing the ignition and i got the old one out but i can get the new one in. i'm looking for someone to help me. if your in the hayward area... give me a call if you wanna make a couple bucks to put it back in cuz i tried for 30 mins. and was getting to pissed off. why are you changing it, what are you removing, and what are you installing?

usually it's just a 4 wire hookup and if you buy the adapter harness it's literally plug and play.

because i bought the car an it only came with one key an just to reasure myself i wanted to change it out. i took it out already but i just cant put the new back in

Have you turned the igniton to the run position for the install?

so you're replacing the ignition cylinder, not the ignition [worship] [worship]


take off the steering column plastic, turn key to run, stick a punch of small #0 phillips screw driver into the hole on the ignition cylinder, then pull the key cylinder out, unplug the connector.

insert the replacement, plug it in, check that the car still starts, put the plastics back together.
