I posted on here last week that my convertible top wasnt lining up with the windows, but i took it to a shop and they seem to think its the window regulators. They quoted some insane price for each window that would basically send me into bankruptcy.

Has anyone had to fix the window tracking or regulators on their convertible? By the way, I have a 92 Gt. Does anyone know someone who does this work on the side?

if the window lines up with the rubbing molding at the front by the mirrors and it sits up level when all the way up, then it's not the regulators.

my convertible leaks also and it's because the top is out of alignment and the tension cables have stretched. In the ford shop manual that I've got I counted about 30 adjustment points of the convertible top before I set that project aside for a later date...

The windows definitely are level towards the front...its only the back end of the windows that dont line up with the weatherstripping. So it is probably the top. Thanks.

my convertible leaks too when it pours down real hard. i'm tired of messing with it and just deal with it.
