if your running aftermarket rims on your old school - are you using acorn style lug nuts or mag style lugs nuts ?

What JohnB said. The style of rim dictates the style of lug nut to use.

thats where im stuck at - its a y2k cobra rim on a 67 mustang - and the wheels didnt come with lug nuts - so im not sure - do i call a rim shop and ask ?

A Y2K wheel should have a conical seat. Most modern wheels are conical seat (acorn style) with the exception of some of the Weld and Centerline drag racing wheels.
