Can a non wc t5 be converted to a t5Z spec unit.?? And can anyone give me a ball park price on what this would cost??

:
the NON WC T5 case is different, so it won't work.
but if you got your hands on a WC T5 trans and gathered parts it would cost around 800-1000
damaged T5 40-60 (needed for the case and mainshaft)
gear kit 400
master rebuild kit 200
New sliders for 1/2, 3/4 around 90
labor varies, so around 200

How do you tell the difference in the T-5 tranny's. I have a '90 LX 5.0 with a 5-speed. Which one would that have in it?
Thanks,

Thanks,
if its actually from a 90's 5.0 its deffenitly a WC T5
a sure way to know the difference is by looking at the front bearing cap (rite below the throw out bearing retainer on the main case, thats where its located).
if it looks flat and machined its a World Class
if it looks like a freeze plug its a NON World Class
