if you snapped the bolt off in the block an EZ out aint going to work that shit is stuck good. don't try to drill it out yourself, your not going to drill it straight. bring it to a machine shop and have them drill it out.

NEVER use an ez out in an engine block, it will break off and an ez out basically cannot be drilled out.

if you have no experience with any of this take it to a machine shop cause you can make matters worse real easy lol!

LOL... I think everyone got confused and thought you broke a head bolt off. Looks like you just broke the head of a bolt off.
You can usually use an EZ out with good results on those thermostat housing bolts. Just GO SLOW. It also helps to soak what's left of the bolt in penetrating oil for a day or so. It'll make backing out the bolt a lot easier.

yeah but could still muck it up if hes never done it before .it takes a patient steady hand.if you got a welder, take a washer and mount it over the hole where your bolt is make sure the washer is only big in the middle as your bolt then weld washer to broken bolt then weld nut to washer let cool down. take wrench unscrew bolt. if it breaks off do it again. impossible to muck up anything. and i have used this method on the worst of any broken bolt! and this method works the best, and the fastest.if none of this makes sence lol take the intake to your machinest, or maybe some one hear will make a house call.
