ok I just got my clutch kit and it came with a new pillot bearing, can sonme one tell how to change that..any special tools to pull it out. thanx for the help guys

slide hammer style is the quickest, you can rent them from parts stores.

i used a pilot bearing removal tool that i bought from ford. I've also seen it where u pack in hella grease and with a small diameter dowel, punch the center to thrust the grease in and it pushes out the pilot bearing, although i dont know what the success rate on that method is, but i heard it being done. Its better to just rent the pilot bearing removal tool.

If the clutch kit came with a aligning tool then do what was said above. Pack as much grease as u can inside the hole from the old pilot bearing. then use the aligning tool, the black plastic piece with splines (You may have to pull the end tab out) and put it in the pilot bearing then smack it a few times. You may have to keep adding grease but it will eventually come out.
