+1 ur rite the fight will never end, so the only solution to this problem is compounded boost,use both. turbo feeding a supercharger low end torque and max top end best of both worlds

Turbo will make more power. Financially when it's all said and done, supercharger is cheaper. Plus you mentioned that it's going to be for street use so it only makes more sense to go SC. Slap on and go have fun with it.

it all depends on how each one is setup that determines the amount of money you spend but most simple setups are similarly priced

Turbo= no belt slipage.

Supercharger = less pain on your wallet.

I have both, I will say Turbo will make more power but a Supercharger is less work to install and work on for a daily driver. I would say a S-trim with a 2.95 pulley will be your best bang for your buck.

superchargers pass smog, done.

Asking, what's better a turbo or supercharger is like asking what the best pizza topping is. Everyone has an opinion and they're convinced they are right.

hey it matters what you want a supercharger will give you more get up and go power and getting up to speed in the low rpm's and a turbo is better for the higher rpm's and keeping your speed up. both are great though im trying to decide the same thing for my car haha

Supercharger SMOG LEGAL, less underhood heat, easier and more effective intercooling (centerfugal) less room needed (stock k-member works) from what i've heard it's easier to tune, easier to drive with predictable onset of boost.
Turbo: more power per PSI... sounds cool? uhh... bragging rights? i think that's about all...

As with a lot of these types of questions.. The answer is "it depends"
Advantages of a supercharger
-------------
* easier to install
* full kits can be had relatively cheap
* smog legal (in most cases)
* makes good power
Disadvantages of a superchargr
---------
* parasitic HP loss
* less low end torque (centerfugal) or less top end (possitive displacement)
tubrbo advantages
--------
* no parasitic hp loss
* makes sick power
* "cool factor"
turbo disadvantages
------
* not smog legal (except incon)
* kits are not cheap
* harder to install
you decide
