doesn't your trans use a speed sensors?
(not cable driven)

Buy a habdheld tuner or a dallas mustang speedcal

The speedometer can only be calibrated in the tune in 99 and up Mustangs. Older than 99 Mustangs with VSSs need to use the speedcal.
