I'm putting together a 66 mustang coupe with an injected vortech supercharged 347. I'd like the engine bay to be a bare as possible and I'm not running a/c or power steering. My question is regarding the belt routing for the alternator and water pump. Below is an image of how I would like the belt to run. I figured I would get a march #2004 grooved w/p pulley, std rotation water pump, and fabricate an adjusting mechanism for the a/p eliminator or the alternator. Has anyone else done this? Is there an easier way? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I did it minus the vortech kit on my `89 for a few years.

just used a `85 crown vic 351 water pump that spun the opposite way as my stock one, then used the stock 5.0 alternator/smog pump bracket and idler pulley. Worked great.

I see what you did but you still have the alternator in the stock location. The thing is that I don't think I can use the spring tensioner because of the lower mounted A/P and Alt.

i have the same setup that you are looking to do.... but i had to move the alternator to the drivers side with a moroso alternator mounting kit, it has heim joints to adjust it

I was thinking about doing just that. So just eliminate the A/p pulley all together and move the alt to the drivers side. What's that kit going to set me back? Do you have a p/n by chance? I couldn't find the kit on summit's site. Thanks for the input!
