i have a 1970 351 windsor stroke to 408 mild comp cam, ported stock heads harden push rodes ford 1.6 roller rockers, weiand intake with holly 750 double pupmer. when i rev to 5000-5500rpm my car act like i have a rev limiter on it what the hella is that ???? please help [Mad]

ahhh platinum plugs and carbed cars......they never run like they should.....

if you are convinced its not the plugs check ur msd box if you have one or dist....


Did the problem start after you put the new plugs in?

Same here...but I'll go one further...wrong plugs AND wrong gap.

I'd suggest buying copper plugs and checking the gap on those before you swap them in.

im not sure on numbers but your supposed to go with a smaller gap when you have a upgraded ignition system

man i got up early an when to my boy dyno shop to show him what the car do an he said " valve float" ??? so that mean ..... [BS flag]

upgrade you valve springs..i usually get valve float around 6k

If this is the case, make sure you have the proper tools to install them. And not just a spring compressor...
