my buddies 04 Cobra stalled 4 times when the clutch was pushed in when he was slowing down...and had to keep giving the accelerator a little bit of gas to keep it alive, he turned around and went home and the rpm went down just before the stalling point, and then it didnt stall, but it stalled 4 times when he pushed in the clutch while he was slowing down at a light...on idle it seemed ok and wasnt fluctuating much, a little but not major...any ideas? [Confused]

Has the ECU been flashed?? The 03-04s had a stalling issue on decel.
from section 5.4 of cobra bob's terminator faq.

5.4.
The “stall” issue
Stalling is a fairly common and potentially dangerous problem with the Cobras. There is a TSB on this issue. It is easily fixed with an ECU reflash by the dealer. For cars without the ECU reflash the stall can occur at any time on deceleration, usually when the clutch is depressed. The motor does not always return to a normal idle speed but drops too low and stalls. See the TSB list above for more fix information.

No it has not been reflashed. Reflashed dont cost as much as tunes do they? I guess I'll pass on that info and see what he does...thanks. Might as well give that a try.

I have an 03 Cobra and once in a while the idles kind of goes up and down, and the defrost is off, and sometimes it might rev a little higher than norm. would a reflash fix mine too? p.s: it has a JLT cold air...or just take it to
NexGen for a tune?

An ECU reflash is done by the dealer. If you're going to do a tune (which means you will need a chip) then the chip will bypass the ecu tune.

In regards to your 03, you'll have to check which version bin you have, should be in Cobra Bob's FAQ or the TSBs for 03-04 Cobras.

I have the stall on my car, I mentioned it to the dealer and they want to do all this testing to prove I needed a reflash, so I said fugit and didnt bring my car in. Too many peeps taking terminators for joy rides at the time.

i drove it last night to work and back home this morning and it didnt stall. I drove it around town the day before and it didnt stall, just that one time my buddy told me before the post...hmm...interesting... [dance]

I gave the car back to my buddy and he drove it around and said it didnt stall on him either...i guess my magic fixed it... [BS flag]

My 04 cobra just started to do this also. So, reflashing the ecu is the cure or can it be the IAC? Anybody know how much the reflash cost?

WIll a reflash fix or a actual tune from a performance shop?

Both I guess. I plan to get it tune in the future by a tuner, but not at this moment.

So far a k&n cai and flowmaster catback. I just found out my battery was bad and replaced it. Hopefully this will help if not fix the problem. So far the rpm does not fluctuate as it did before.
