I got back from driving and noticed a hissin sound every 5 seconds. popped the hood and seen the A/c accumulator smoking. i looked below it and there was a hole in the firewal with a drop of clear liquid every 5 seconds. my question is , what the hell is that? whats supposed to be there and is it going to hurt anything. it was smoking becuase it was drippin on the hot headers. I cant find my chiltons manual so please let me know what goes there! thanks. [patriot]

im sorry to say i think your heater core is leaking or your ac is on and its drippind condensation. if no ac then change the heater core.

sounds like the drain hole for the ac, it is a drain for all the condensation created by the ac.

only if its dripping coolant, condensation is created from your ac, so if you are using your ac or defroster its normal.

150 is a good price for the heater core.

well my ac was off and it hasnt worked for some time. the color of the fluid was clear, not green so maybe it is condensation. i dont have the puddle of death on my carpet.well the car is a 87 and by the way every other thing was on the car , im willing to bet it's the original heater core from 1987. Can i buy an autozone one or the kit from lrs? im broke as a joke so i will proably just bypass the heater core. Everytime i save enough money for a go fast part i gotta replace something!!! damn mustang!! oh well i still love her! thanks you guys. [patriot]
