Unless you have a timing adjuster or handheld/chip...you can't change the timing. Plugs should be 1 range colder (autolite 103s or similar) and gapped at .035. I hope it's a wet kit...

its a wet kit and i have a handheld tuner to adjust timing.and really gapped that low huh

Stock gap is .054. The last thing you'd want is not enough spark on those stock pistons. Obviously though, it's your call. Good luck!

That's called a Toyota Tercel, circa 1993. A beater that's for everyday use. [Wink]

if its your only car is it really worth blowing up the motor to go a little bit faster in the 1/4

well its not garanteed to blow lol and its not like im going to spray often just whne i go to the track and i know some ppl run nitrous all teh time and more then that and therre cars are fine.and isnt everything we put on our cars to make it better in some way in my case a lower time

Yes. Mostly everything we do is in fact to make our cars go faster. But you really have to take into account that not everybody uses nitrous. Even though you're going to be using this every so often, you really have to consider what kind of beating its going to do to your engine. Plus like you said, this is the ONLY car you have. One of my friends here on this site used nitrous only at the track every here and there and had lost compression in cyl. 7 and 8 with his modular.
So honestly IMO, I would start looking for a beater car if you're serious about doing it.
Good Luck to ya!! [patriot]

total timing about 16* and i had a 125/150 wet shot on my 01', autolite 103's or NGK TR6's are what you want. it liked a .030 gap, blew out sumtimes if any higher.
