A Shelby GT motor is just a 4.6 3v...and no, it won't bolt up to a T5.

Will the shelby tranny fit in the fox body? Are there any changes I should/need to do to get the motor to bolt in? I deleted my a/c & pretty much all the hardware for will that be a problem in this conversion?

Engine crossmember will have to be a 4.6 swap piece. The transmission crossmember will have to be custom. The driveshaft will need to be cut to fit. Custom headers or stock manifolds with a custom H or X pipe are on the menu as well...

Cost is relative to what you want. If you really want it, go for it. And yes, if you're having a shop do it...it ain't gonna be cheap.

Dude ur about to get involved in a swap that's gonna cost a lot of money. The only trans ur gonna be able 2 use are those compatible with that motor. Probably best to research what transmissions are interchangeable with the 3v that comes in the car. Best thing for you to do is take the ENTIRE motor/trans/ecu/gauge cluster from a donor car and do whatever custom work needs to be done to bolt it into the fox.
NOTHING but the rear end will probably be reusable from ur fox drivetrain. So ur talking a tubular k with motor mounts to bolt that into a fox, custom brackets for the tranny, rewiring the dash to get ur cluster to work and all kinds of ish. U got a lot of research to do

I think he's talking about the 3 valve GT motor, not the Shelby engine. Either way as others have said, its going to be a huge project that takes a lot of know how to do. Your talking changing the K member, exhaust, engine, trans, fuel system and a lot of electrical. Its not going to drop in, connect to the Fox engine mounts, wire harness or fuel lines. Your better off building a nice pushrod motor.
