i have a 93 ford mustang 5.0 that just started making poping noise from the intake..every time i give it gas it pops multilple times...i checked the oil to see if theirs water getting in to the oil but found nothing!!i was told it was the feul.the car waqs driving good then just started making the noise...

your car is backfiring through the intake! check your spark plug wires, timing,mass air

its popiing from the air intake..the timing is good,the mass air sencor is new calibrated to 24#, i had just put the spark plugs about 45miles ago...the car was running good but just started poping out of no where!!! i had got on it 1st to 2nd then started poping couple minuts later..i recently changed the head gaskets and the other gaskets as well...

what is the timing at, what is the vacuum at idle, what is the fuel pressure at idle, what kind of combo do you have that needs 24lb injectors / calibrated 24lb MAF?

Check the vacum hose that conects to the intake had the same problem make sure its pluged in all the way in

check fuel and if it happens under full throttle vacuum cancels out so your problem is not their ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

i figured out what it was when i took my valve covers off...the guy who worked on my car didnt put the stock roller rockers right...so how do you adjust the the roller rockers?????they are stock 1's...i want to re-do all of them because one of them was loose...when i tightend it the poping noise went away....
