If the heads are used and the threaded inserts are in the smog pump air injection passages,the threaded inserts go to the front of the engine for proper mounting of the belt driven accessories. The air injection steel crossover tube will mount to the open holes in the back of both heads.

i dont have the cross over air tube holes for cold start ups but the gt40p heads have three holes for the acceries on both back and front of the heads i gess i will put them on with the gtp casting stamp facing forward toward the front
