With my S10 truck... In april it failed the visual part smog.. Fast foward to today, now it passed the visual and failed the Emissions Test. The NOs were sky high this time.

Both the 15 MPH and 25 MPH were above 1000. In the first test they were well below the max, 15 mph was 202 and 25 mph was 340. What could of cause this.

It has a new cat, new plugs, wires, egr is good no injector leaks, could it be bad gas.

Yeah, going to drive a bit and then take it again. Don't want to swap out the o2 sensor, not getting any codes for it.

EGR valve may be good but is the EGR system actually functioning? Verify that vacuum is going to the EGR controls and vacuum is getting to the EGR valve. Check the EGR ports and make sure they are not restricted or plugged. A quick check for the EGR valve and ports is to apply vacuum to the EGR valve with the engine running. The engine should sputter (or possibly stall) when the EGR valve opens. Your excessively high NOx readings tells me the EGR system is not functioning properly (if HCs and COs are good).

Finally took the S10 to get smogged on friday and it passed!! REALLY appreciate the help... Cleaned the EGR (electronic EGR), cleaned the upper intake and refilled the truck with 91 gas, instead of 87 gas. Although the problem might have been that the bolts that connect the header to the exhaust were loose. It was actually missing 1 of the 3 bolts.

Did drive it for 20 minutes on the fwy before I went over to the smog station, but yeah it PASSED [dance]
