Im going to change the 5 quart to a 7 quart oil pan and the gasket on my 90 5.0. is there anything internal in the pan i need to know about before changing the pan?

if the pick up line and oil pump is gana be low enough or no oil in engine..oh noo bad news..

just make sure you get the correct oil pickup for your pan. no need to mess with the oil pump unless your getting a new pump

make sure you clearance the pick up tube.

damn i guess im going to have to go with the gears. i still need to fix my leak so the gasket is a must. do i just drain the oil and take the pan off and replace the gasket?
