im having problems with my 79 stang getting it to rev up to 6k. if any one can help out i would be great full. this is what ive done to try to fix the problem. i change the whole fuel system i put new electric fuel pump with fuel regulater anf fuel lines. msd 6al and dis. switched carb and it still dose it. everything i try to rev it to 6k it starts to sputter a 5k always at 5k help me

try checking ur fuel pressure and or regulator, filter, also check or change stock coil. also the car should have a fuel computer which is the only electrical computer u should have. i used to have a carbed 83, had to change the fuel computer.

Try taking it to a shop that can put it on a scope so you can find out if its a lean or rich misfire that can narrow things down alot also remember misfires AIR FUEL or SPARK first things to check good luck with that let us know what happens
