ions legal part? Or is your car just a rolling smog violation? The thing is... your in the system now. You have to correct what ever the citation is for, then you can take the car to a police station,chp,or maybe a ref and have it signed off. You still have to pay a fine and when you go to have it signed off you need to make sure that when you pop the hood that you don't have other violations waiting to be discovered by johnny law. good luck!

doesnt matter if ur engine stroked there not gonna disassemble ur motor to inspect ur internals. Just get a e.o sticker for ur cai and get some junk yard extensions the heads shud b fine as long as u got all ur smog equipment. i know people runnig h/c/i and a blower and passing fine and no trouble with the law.

The EO sticker usually comes with a part or its stamped on it somewhere. I had a 331, AFR heads, TFS stage 2 cam, Holley Systemax intake, headers and full exhaust that passed. If your smog is all stripped off then good luck but if you have most everything on the car then you can change a couple things to pass. Most likely you can't pay a fine, you'll have to go to the ref and they will pick the car apart. Get a CARB number for the E303 cam and tell them that's what your running. As long as the intake has an EGR passage then its considered a stock replacement so no number needed. Post up what your running and if the smog stuff it in tact, that would help determine what to do.

a stroker isn't a problem. Just tell the ref it's a 302. He won't know the diff. Most heads have EO numbers. The cam might be an issue if it is big. If it passes the sniffer just say it's an e-cam.

Just because the ticket was for an open air cleaner just says that's all they saw. If you go to the ref you better have your shit together, you roll into the ref with a stock air box and an off road pipe your screwed. They are going to check everything so make sure all smog is in place.

In the "old days" (what ever they were) you could just pay the ticket as an admission of guilt and that was it.........now you are in a computer and the COMPUTER NEVER FORGETS. I used to have the "tinted windows" and the ticket was about $70.00 the best I remember. I paid a couple of them, then one day I got a letter and a returned check !!! They would not accept the check without proof of correction, so that was the end of the tinted windows for me........but I have noticed lately there are a LOT of cars passing me with tinted windows, so many actually I began to wonder if they had changed the law on tinted windows. just my 2cents.

your definitely gonna need cats. the ref doesnt care if you have turn downs or not. if everything is in good working order you will be surprised with the mods you can do and still pass the sniffer
