Same thing on mine but with 3g alt. I put a smaller alt. pulley on and it fixed the problem.

Use your original pulley from the old alternator. It's smaller and free.

the alternator does have my stock original pulley on it, i swapped it cuzz it didnt come with one. did the powermaster originally come with a bigger pulley other than stock size ?

Now that, I do not know. The 3g I got came with a huge pulley. Car wouldn't charge at all. My stock pulley was actually very small and may not have been original now that I think about it. It was way to clean and very small in diameter. Sorry for the confusion but I do still think you need a smaller pulley. Where to get it is another story...maybe picknpull or someone on the board might have one laying around. I'll check my old box of parts when I get home. If I find one I'll just give it to you.

Good luck!

koo, thanks a lot, every help is appreciated. hopefully the pulley is the problem, cuz i jus installed an electric fan on it too and would hate to put the stock one back on.
