It wouldn't be worth it unless he stroked it.

It will hold up good. Its gonna be heavy though because of the iron heads. If you bud can afford it, he needs to go with a glass hood and a battery relocation to help with the weight. Also,I don't think it's a roller cam in that motor even though its an f4te roller block. So maybe a cam upgrade, but the pistons in the bottom end will hold up to some abuse. www.alternativeauto.com

95 lightning motor is basically a 351 with the GT40 top end package. Would make a nice upgrade. Do not know what sort of adaptation you will need though

How does it run compared 2 a stock 5.0? And is he 5 speed or auto? He's plan on running a built aod behind it

Where car did he get the flywheel from?

Going to need a 28 oz flywheel/flexplate...plus swap headers, relocate the front sway bar 1/2" lower from the body mounts, 351 Fox body oil pan and oil pan rails, plus the pickup, accessory brackets are different on the driver's side because of the change in deck height versus the 302, turn the intake around to the passenger side, any motor mounts for a Fox 5.0 will work...that should be about it, if my memory serves me right.

stick a pair of trickflows on the 351 and shit all over the 302.
the extra wieght is worth the extra tq your going to get from the swap. like someone else wrote. get a glass hood move the battery to the back.. and get some good tires.. and you'll never look back.. and anything you do to the 302 to make more power you can do to the 351... you can even buy shorty headers so you can run your exhaust you have now..

Well here's where it gets funny, if you put 302 parts on a 351, ur gonna make 302 power. Plus u have to remember that he wants to do a budget build so by doing the 351+heads, u might as well, if you ask me, stick with a 302 h/c/i. less of a headache, wind it up faster, won't wey as much, dont' have to get new accessory brackets, exhaust, hood + im sure a few other alterations neccessary to make it not only work, but be correct.

He probably just gonna run the lighting motor, if it was me I would run:

351 roller stock block
F303 cam
Edelheads
Trick flow r intake
T70

Check out the youtube on it 2008 351w build, runs 11z
