just got a summit aluminum radiator and wondering if I should buy any special coolant or mix it different. I usually just buy the 50/50 premix stuff.

Use straight antifreeze then add a bottle of waterwetter by redline. u'll be o.k.

in our climate you can use a 70% water 30% coolant. water has better heat transfer

The waterwetter makes up for it. Water has a lower boiling point than the antifreeze.

In California - 70% water, 30% AF, and a bottle of water wetter.

180 is good. 160 is too low will run real rich and won't go into closed loop
