I am just curious how much HP before you need to upgrade to bigger fuel lines, even if you have a SN95 Fuel Rails, and a Walbro 255 intank and a Walbro 255 external pump on a FOX? If I am correct the stock fuel lines are like 5/16".

i made 500 flywheel hp with 255 pump, stock fuel lines, stock fuel rail and an adj. fuel pressure regulator. I ran water/meth but I'm sure if I jacked up the fuel pressure another 10psi the stock lines would cover 500hp no problem. I've heard of guys over on tm.com making almost 600hp with stock lines.

I already made 508RWHP with an automatic, I didnt see a problem, but the stock lines do seem real small for that kind of HP.

Hello Lee,

I agree, the stock rails are small. I think at 500 RWHP you are pushing them to the limit. I was concerned as well so I upgraded to the BBK rails and regulator. Piece of mind ;-)

Tony, I already upgraded to SN95 Fuel Rails ,which are bigger, and an Aeromotive Fuel Regulator.

The rails fit very well, and there is excellent clearance for the distributor. The main hassle was getting the cross over tube pressed on to the hose ends, which was a bitch. However the setup is very nice with the fact that it retains the stock regulator position. The regulator mounts on the rail. I don’t think there are any other rails that do this.

In general, 500-550 is a ballpark answer. It is going to depend more on your injectors and how close they are to 100% duty cycle before the supply lines become a issue. Flow will never overcome pressure, due to the line size (restriction) and it being a return system. And yes, stock is 5/16".
