would I get more bang for my buck if I port and polished my stock heads over buying after market ones?

F cam does'nt have a carb # like the E does but all the alphabet "ford motorsport" cam's have passed the sniffer, so You can use the F cam and just give them the E carb # "if they ask". You will pass if the rest of Your smog stuff is working & the engine is healthy.

Don't bother porting your heads. You are better off buying a set of used aftermarket heads.

Technically the f-cam is not smog legal but may pass. Dunno though

f-cam will pass,just lie and say e303. and it will work on none ported stock heads,but ported is better and differant/after market heads will bring it alive.good luck

put whatever u want, the technician doesn't need to know u have a cam there is no way to tell,if it's got a good lope just say it started running like that last week, he can't fail u and say "I think it has an illegal cam in it" he needs proof [dance]

"I dunno how it passed but it did" said the smog tech, yes the F cam will pass as long as your equipment and cats are still in order...
