I would guess somewhere around 340-360 at the wheels on 8 pounds of boost. The heads are most likely gonna hold you back. Also, you will need to go with larger injectors if you boost your car.

Bassed on the number of fast street cars on this site with Vortech S or SQ trim blowers on them I would go that route. I call "street cars" people who can go drive there car on 300 mile round trips put 10,000 miles a year on them and possibly run 10's or 11's fast. Some people consider street cars anything with wheel on them that can drive 5 miles to a drag strip. Thats cool but thats not what I am talking about. OH yeah they are also smog legal. I bolt the cats on mine make a few adjustments change oil and plugs and passed the smog inspection with no 3 min cat warmup. That is actualy the best part..lol

that's actually a good turbo and decent intercooler on that kit....be interested in how it performs....especially for only $2500

s-trims can go 500+ rear wheel hp
I would go at least 42 lb injectors if not bigger
bummer about turbos is the smog issue. Unles you do not need to smog it, or don't mind paying the extra money for the illegal hook up.

S trims are nice. Have nice brackets that allow access to simple things, and last pretty much forever if you treat them right. Plus they tap into your engines oil supply. Which is 100 times better than a self contained blower. Novi 1000-2000's are supposed to be nice too although I have never used them. Incons are a legal turbo and the best power adder I have seen for a foxbody. Also the most expensive and most time consuming to install.
But if your looking for 400rwhp, an S trim will easily do that with H/C/I. You wont be making the blower work hard either. Not to mention its an easy install and they can be picked up for under 2k used.

well i just got a good deal for a brand new novi 2000 race version .
will this be better than a s trim on 14-15lbs ??
Posted by 70mach351 (Member # 7528) on
:
yes, i believe the s trim will max out around 15 psi. The novi 2000 should be good to 20 something psi

the 2000 is for a high HP application....plenty of people are making super reliable HP on an S-trim...
both of my cars are S-trim vehicles...I'm sure my daily makes somewhere around 330-340RW on stock heads and cam with 10 psi an methanol...

vortech s trim =680hp- 20# boost- 1000cfm
novi 2000= 980hp - 27# boost- 1400cfm
So the novi has alot of room to grow into but vortech is known for it's reliability. If prices were equal I would take the novi. I love My vortech but am already at it's limit's.
