well for the longest time ive considered going turbo... with my daughter on the way the car has sat. I ve contemplated many motor combo's, spoken with one of the best shops represented on this board, but i had a dumb idea.

Ive seen remote mount kits ie: STS, i like the simplicity (sp) of these kits, being able to run long tubes etc. So in your guys opinions. What would be the disadvantages of running a remote mount system???

I think they are cool. You only lose like 2psi but you save on hundreds of degrees of heat in the engine bay which makes up for it.

I've been considering this for my car as well but I too have the baby thing going on, mine is here and 7 months though. [Smile]

a LOT more piping to have to worry about. not a single car turbo car has been engineered by factory engineers with the turbo in the rear as opposed to the engine bay. do you honestly think every single engineer is overlooking something these new "easy" turbo kit producers arent?

I think Murillo is the only one that can get away with this and have them run decent.
