I just finished putting on some ported e7s trick flow stage 1 cam and eldelbrock intake on my 1989 mustang but wean i set the timing it jumps about 2-4 degrees and wont stay still is that normal for a 5.0 with a cam or is something else roung

new or used timing chain?

how did you line up the timing gears and distributor?

used timing chain

i lined it up with the rotor pointing tords the #1 plug and started doing the timing frome their
