Check your plug wires and make sure they are all connected. Do you have any enginee codes.

That's where I would start

well its not really a popping noise, hmm how can i explain it..its like having a fan on and your putting cardboard on it..that kind of noise...and it goes away when i push my clutch...but when i release my clutch it comes back and when i hit the gas it gets really loud...i want to get it checked out tmrw, any good places in san josE?

hmm sounds more like drivetrain if you push your clutch in and it goes away its not your engine...maybe throwout bearing er sumthin..

im having the same issue with my car, people have said it might be an exhaust leak.. but i changed h pipe, and headers. still the same.

one other idea i still havent worked on is that it might be the speedometer cable/ speedometer gear. i have the parts just havent worked on it yet.

another idea was that it might be my tranny fluid being dry, went to jiffy lube.. and it was leveled out. i do gotta say after they checked on my fluid it doesnt do that continous sound anymore, its only when im in first and taking off.. then the sound goes away now.

I have been driving back and forth oakland/ hayward/ hercules with this issue (knock on wood) it hasnt affected anything.. just a scary/ annoying sound.

My description of the sound was that it sounded like a trading card between bike spokes, the higher the rpm, the faster the sound. but when im not in gear it goes away. its like a knocking/ popping sound right?

if you guys ever figure this out PLEASE HELP ME OUT, AND LMK WAHT THE ISSUE WAS.. this is really baffling me too.

THANKS!!!!
