I am tryong to buy some new shocks and struts for my foxbody and wanted to know which manufacturer has good quality? I noticed the KYB shocks and struts are pretty reasonably priced but I am not sure as to how good they are compared to Lakewoods which cost alot more or other brands.

I think most people are going to recommend Bilstein Hd's, tokico 5-way adjustables, or konis.

I like the tokico illumina 5 way adjustable. I have had them on two cars and they make a big diff over the KYBs

Well, I guess I am going to have to open up the old wallet and get the expensive Tokico or Koni's Anyone know where the best place to get them would be?

you can buy a complete suspension kit from buyfordracing.com that's basically the take-off bullit suspension, tokiko struts/shocks, .5" drop stiffer springs, and sway bars for an sn95, about $500 I think, that price keeps going up though.

although I love the bilsteins on my 89, I am planning on moving them over to my 97 soon and getting the tokiko adjustables along with coil overs for the 89...

for a street car daily driver, I'd say go with bilsteins, for a weekend track car...something adjustable would be better. Though the range of adjustment on the cheaper tokiko's doesn't make that huge of a difference in the feel of the car, you have to spend more to be able to go from say a drag shock setting, to a road race setting...

it's probably sold out then.

http://www.gefracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=G&Product_Code=M5400A&Category_Code=BULLITT

the ford part # is M5400A, and any ford racing dealer should be able to get it.

I love my tokico illumina 5 way shocks and struts. I have owned them for over 10 years at least. KYB are junk.
