I am getting ready to install electric fans on my 93 gt and I had a question regarding how to tap into the ignition system (key wire) when installing electric fans. I installed a temporary fan but I didn't tap into an ignition wire so the fans drain my battery when the car is off because they continue running. I was wondering if anyone could help me locate some type of ignition or key wire that is easy to tap into so that the fans turn off when the car is turned off? Any info would help. Thanks guys!

you could put a switch on it to turn it off. If you want to use an ign. wire you can use one under the dash the ign. wire is red/green stripe in the ign. wire harness coming from the key.

the one i suggested is the best option and also make sure you put an inline fuse 10 amp.
The fan draws a good amount of current so you dont want to run thin wire make sure you use at least 14g for the wire run but if i was doing it i would run 12g. good luck
