Anyone know the stock 5.0 pushrod length off the top of their head? I have to have some custom ones made, and just want to clarify before ordering.

I need to run stock length, but they must be very stout, and light!

6.272" if iam not mistaken? Why do u need custom ones? What kind of set-up are u gonna run?

I had them as 6.270 in my head, but just wanted to be sure.

I run very high valve spring pressure, and am thinking I am having deflection issues at high RPM is the reasoning for wanting to go with something with a thick wall, and much stronger material than stock.

You should definitely check rocker geometry and get the correct length using a push rod checker.

Geometry is on, just a weird combination.

The reason i ask is cuz i got a 302 H.O. block with a 347 kit in it and i picked up a set of 289 close chamber heads that have been CNC port and polished. The heads have 1.6 Crower r.r. and guide plates. My ? is would i have to change my push rods? I havent assembled to engine so i want to see if this is gonna work. Has anyone done this b4? Any input appriciated thanks!
