In my 1990 5.0 convertible whenever I have my window down I smell gas not all the time like every couple of minutes the smell will come. I don't see any leaks when i park. What can this be?

Thanks in advance

are you smelling it every time you drive it?
make sure you check you fuel lines under the car for leaks. and around your engine bay also. you could have a cracked line thats seeping. just my .02

Does it smell like raw gas (like ur at a gas station) or just like it is running rich?

Check the following with the car running if it smells like raw gas

- fuel filter for leaks
- check the fuel filler gasket
- Fuel rails and fuel lines

If if smells like it is running rich pull one of the plugs and check it. Also, if you don't have cats your car will smell like it is rich
