I gotta get my car smogged very soon and was wondering if there are any places or tips on getting it passed. Car is a 2000 Mustang GT with long tube headers and intake. I will be putting the midepipe with cats on it beforehand. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

good tune up, don't forget the lil shit like pcv and check that the gasket on the fuel cap isn't cracked if it is get a new one. That's where the make their money, fail your gascap and just happen to have one there for 10$, I've seen it alot

I always get mine pre tested if I have to go to a test only and take the paperwork so they know not to fk me, it's worth the money to show that it just passed a pretest within a week so don't try anything.

Right.

I tried smogging with long tubes and failed the visual on those alone.
Went home & cut the carb E.O.# plate off of a set of smog legal shorties and tack welded it right onto the long tubes.
He just needs that number to punch into the computer.
I think they might also count the # of cats that are supposed to be on your car from factory.
I say its all about the tech, some are cool & some not.
