You are using to small of a blower for your cid size. A S trim supports 680 hp you should make almost that on the motor. That is my opinion, swap on a t-trim or better yet a YSI and the difference will be amazing. it will still run OK

S trim won't put that much boost out with an engine that size, I would say 8-9 pound's with a pullied S trim. My guess for power woild be 800ish.

i'm going with the 800ish also. i have a fully built 401 with canfields and a super vic. intake, custom nos cam. and i make 623 flywheel on pump gas n/a. so i'm thinkin with some boost 800 should be a cake walk. [burnout]

i heard all the vortech superchargers are interchangable. s trough xx trim. I run the YS, and it's the same shit as my old S trim. just a little fwiw.

It should fit but You will probably have trouble with the braket plate flexing because the plate is alot thicker with the bigger vortech's compared to the S trim. Look in the supercharger section at www.corral.net & I know people are saying not to do it with the YSI trim, so with the X trim?

put a turbo. the power is explosive. and possably sheaper depends how you go. you'd also get more points in mine and most other ppls books for having an 800 hp turbo 408
