Ok I changed my clutch cable today everything was working well. I made it about 20 miles and was at a stop light. My clutch cable just snapped..the old cable I took off was snapped in the same place near the bell housing. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Do I need to get an adjustable quadrant? Thank you

To be honest I don't know. I just picked the car up not to long ago. It was shifting fine with the exception of 5th at high rpms it was hard to get into 5th before and after I changed the cable. All other gears are fine and there is no slipping. Thank you

Do not buy an adjustable cable, they are all garbage, buy one from Maximum Motorsports a Firewall Adjuster and a Quadrant.

i just bought a adjustable cable fire wall from my boy brand new from motorsport and it works great before that i had a normal clutch carble in there and man getting it into first and second was not easy. but now it works like a champ. so yeah motorsport is the way to go.

Trunkster is right... any cable besides af OEM Ford cable is garbage compared to the ones you get from Ford. Some times, you have to run the adj. cable depending on your combo, but if your not running some crazy clutch set-up, spend the extra money and buy one Ford cable vs. some other POS that will eventually fail.

Just my 2 cents.

I put in a aluminum quadrant and adjustable cable. I figured it's not to hard to crawl up under the car to adjust it if I have to. As of right now it works perfect.
