i just installed a king cobra clutch on my 95 5.0 and have driven 'easy' on it for about 200 miles now. should i keep it up til i hit 400-500 miles or am i ok to start shifting harder now? and what does it actually do to 'break in' a clutch seeing as it is just a disk made of the same material throughout. is it just to make sure everything is actually working right and your bellhousing bolts wont fall out or something?
thanks

I have a King Cobra clutch on my 90 5.0L, i let it break in for like 250 miles i think... mainly until the chattering sorta stopped, then drove it normally... works fine now. you should be fine to start driving it like normal

Im having a chattering sound come from my clutch, its new with only about 25-50 miles on it. When i push in the pedal it goes away. Anyone know if this is normal?

T/O bearing could be the problem, ive only heard of those squeaking when they go bad tho...
you said the clutch was new with 25-50 miles on it? well break it in a little longer till the chattering goes away... and if i understand you correctly, it SHOULD go away when you push the clutch in cause its disengaging the clutch... either im missing some info or just give it more time to break in.

Its a new bearing though. well ill give it more time, its not that loud but it annoys me knowing that it wasnt there before with the old clutch.
