I was driving on hwy 9 on Saturday in my '91 GT and the car brakes fine at all times, but when I would start to push the car and brake harder before the turns, once the brakes got hot (after hard braking for awhile) the brakes would vibrate/pulse the entire length of pedal travel. The car would still slow down as normal though. I would back off and slow down and give the brakes a breather and then everything would go back to normal. It seems to only do that when I'm on the brakes repeatedly for a while.
I autocross the car regularly and never noticed a problem with the brakes, but then again each lap is only about a minute long. I usually don't ever drive her on the street.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
My first thought was warped rotors, but the vibrations aren't always there.

that's material from the pads getting so hot they are getting left on the rotors, I had that happen a lot to my stock brakes, especially in the front after I put the 73mm calipers on.
here's how my rotors looked before I put the new brakes on btw, notice the heat spots left from the pad material.

I'll take a look at them tonight and see if I notice anything.
The pads are HP Plus.

same pads that I had on my car, work great until they get really hot, then the small rotor size just can't cool the brakes off enough.

are the pads metalic or ceramic? Go with semi metalic pads

HP Plus pads are Ferro-Carbon
Rotors are not warped, no sign of pad residue being left on the rotors

well you wont see the residue unless you felt the pulsating right before you pulled the wheels off, mine would clean themselves off and the pulsating wouldn't come back until I heated them up again.
