ive got a 289 stock with the edelbrock 4 barrel intake,i was running good with a 600 cfm ,then went to the 650,now when you drive off it bogs down and wants to die unless you stay on it,then takes off,,what size should i get?does anyone want to trade for the 650?

How about tuning the carb instead? Just throwing one on and hoping it is correctly setup is a crapshoot. Edelbrock or Holley? Or maybe Autolite?

+1 sounds like it needs some tuning. FWIW I was running a Holley 600 CFM w/ vaccum secondaries on my 289 and it ran fine.

need it adjusted and tunned...if your gonna own a carb best thing to do is buy a book explaining how to adjust them and tune them in..

Did you get a double pumper? That is not a great street carb.
