i have a 67 mustang and im putting a 302 in it thats going to be carburated and run a mechanical fuel pump, i been looking at pulley setups and the only one that works is a serpentine setup that uses a reverse rotation water pump. im wondering if there is any problems in using a reverse rotation pump in a 67 mustang what whould i have to use different to make this work if there is any problem with this?

i believe the bolt pattern is different on the water pump side on the mech fuel pump timming cover.

First Make sure the 302 already has a reverse rotation waterpump!That would make it a High Output 5.0. Also the reverse rotation makes it so you have to buy a diffrent radiator or move the lower outlet to the driver side (staggered outlet design)

A shop can relocate the outlet for you, Lets say if you already have an expensive performance radiator

Also What year is your motor? I'm guessing 85/86 cause if you motor was originally efi It's not gonne have the right timing cover to allow a mechanical fuel pump. [patriot]

motor is from the 80s has timing cover with dip stick in front
