which motor do you think is better?
5.0 push rod?
or
4.6 modular ?

depends on your budget.if money is an issue then the pushrod is better.

Due to the smaller bore spacing of the modular, it will always be down on power given similar head flow and induction. Throw 20 psi at a 4v Cobra and throw 20 psi at a 5.0 w/ same flowing heads, then the bigger bores will always win out.
If you want to compare stock parts, then the 4V 4.6 can make some big power compared to stock 5.0 heads.
Way more serious power parts are available for the 5.0/5.8.
03/04 Cobra bottom ends can handle WAY more power than a stock 5.0 bottom end.
Get the picture? It's an apples to oranges comparison. Too many variables. I like the budget based decision myself...

Given the same displacement the 4V head will always make more power over a 2V head pushrod or modular doesn't matter.

Not on the Ford Modular blocks, unless you sleeve it and try to increase the bore diameter. Even then, the aftermarket pushrod blocks can be bored out way past what is possible in modular land. The $v's flow like gangbusters but are inherently limited by the 100mm bore spacing (3.937 inches) and 90.22mm bores (3.552 inches) where the pushrod small block 4.38 inch bore spacing and 4.0 inch bores.
Too bad the 4 valve pushrod heads never seemed to actually become commercially available.
Well prepped aftemarket pushrod heads now can flow as much as the 4v modular heads that are stuck on the small bores. They do shine w/ forced induction which makes up for the shrouding.

Depends on what u wanna build. If u wanna go all motor then I'd suggest a pushrod motor. U wanna go forced induction then get u a 4v modular motor. Forge the internals and throw all the boost @ it u can. Or what ur pockets will allow

Money talk's! and it depend's on what Your preference is. Both can be great if You put the rite combo together. As mentioned it also depend's on what the car will be used for.
