I want to know what you guys think it would cost at any old shop to do this head work:
pressure and vacume test
deck both heads to correct warping
replace 3 exhaust valves
replace 1 intake valve.
thank you!!!

Pressure Test 80 for the pair
Surface 70 to 80 for the pair
Vacuum Test ? the shop I went to did this for free but he said if he did charge for it 25
The Valves depending on brand could run 10 or more a piece
The seats probably need to be addressed in the the holes where the valves were replaced
Did they do a complete valve job ?The valve seals could add another 30 or 40 to the job
If he charges premium prices for a valve job his figure is easily reachable ..........expensive but reachable

GT40P are cast normally you dont pressure test cast because a magnaflux will reveal a problem faster and easier not to say you cannot do it on them ..at the shop I go to in Sac a basic valve job is 120 so if you add a pressure test at 80 and a surface at 70 thats 270 add 60 for new valves you are at 330 ...Even if they charge 300 for a basic valve job they seem to be high for that kind of work

cylinder head package at most machine shops runs 350 for a complete valve job surface and p test.so ad 30 bucks for your valves and bamm thats where your at.
