i have a new centerforce dual friction clutch, new bbk clutch cable, quadrant and firewall adjuster, for the first 600 miles the clutch was nice and soft and it slowly started getting harder and now it is stiff again, this fucking sucks. any information on how i can get this hard pedal to go away i would greatly appreciate it. i will even pay someone to come and fix it or do whatever to make the pedal soft. Thanks Matt

does it still go into gear the same as it normally does and just the pedal is stiff now?? Or is it hard to go into gear also??

Check your clutch cable. Make sure it isnt resting on the headers. Mine clutch cable was resting on my header, melted the crap outta the cable. It resulted in a hard ass pedal

the clutch cable is probably routed wrong, if it isn't routed perfectly it will kink the cable and make it very hard.

the cable is routed correctly and not resting on the header. also the cable is new and there are no kinks in it.

It loops in from the front, goes underneath the motor mount and inside of the k-member, and then it's pretty much a straight shot back to the mounting hole in the bellhousing.

ditch the bbk cable they are crap. the cable is probly streching and throwing everything out of wack. get a ford cable setup. MM has a good setup that uses a ford cable.

true dat!! My buddy has gone through 3 or 4 cables in only like 2 or 3 days. ford parts always work --rick

Definitely sounds as if the cable has stretched.

if you happen to get a cable from autozone, try to find one from india, not the ching dong ones (china, thailand, japan) --rick
