I was reading that you can cross the vacuum lines from the boost actuator and boost by-pass solenoid to reach max boost level at wot. Have any of you done this?

there's an ongoing debate on weither its worth it or not... some tuners turn it off in the tune, some don't.

That bypass valve is simply an on/off switch that allows the computer to completely bypass all boost under certain conditions. I've never heard of it actually kicking in on a Cobra but it is very common on the Lightning's to activate while racing on the 1-2 shift. The easiest way to turn it off is to simply unplug the electrical connector at the top of the valve.
