I have a nicely built 331 stroker, with Edlebrock Performer heads that came out of my 89 Convertible. I want to run this motor in my '65 Mustang, only I want to change the intake system and run a carb. I have an E-303 cam in this motor. So my question is this, can I simply change the induction system without changing the cam, or will I need to get a non FI computer type cam?

you do not need to change the cam. you will need to change the distributor also however and be sure to use a steel distributor gear, or swap the one from the EFI distributor. If you use an iron gear it will get ground up and damage your motor.

If you are hurtin' for cash for a distributor, you can run a distributor & ignition module from a carbureted 85 Mustang. AutoZone wants like $150 for both of them.

Just be sure to get the steel gear! [Smile]
