Ok so here is the deal. 2 days ago one of my vacuum tubes from the canister got melted by the header. I fixed it and now my car Idles too high (1100) and when I am driving and I relaese the gas and put the clutch in, the RPM's jump up about 300 before they slowly go down. Whats that all about? I think its the Idle control valvem but would it just start doing that randomly?

Thanks Guys!

Oh Yeah..Are there any stickers that I can get for my engine compartment that say Californiafords.com or something to that nature..Im in So-Cal but definatley want to Rep the North!

I'm not sure how ford stuff is put together, but in general high idle is commonly associated with IAC valve, vacuum leaks and faulty tps.

Take out the iac valve and clean it with throttle body cleaner that's sensor safe. Make sure to get all that black grime off it. You can even give it a whack when car idles high. Sometimes the valve gets stuck and whacking it releases it. If this is the case then all you need to do is clean it.

Check for any vacuum leaks. This may be your best bet since it just happened after your vacuum hoses melted.

Get a voltage tester and test your tps to make sure its giving the proper voltage.
